Leaders United is United Way NCA’s leadership giving community for individuals committed to promoting equity throughout the National Capital Area.
Who We Are
Leaders United is United Way NCA’s leadership giving community for individuals who contribute $1,000 or more designated directly to United Way NCA. Leaders United contributors recognize the challenges facing our community, and as leaders they understand the power of working together to find solutions to our region’s toughest challenges through United Way NCA’s three pillars of health, education and economic opportunity.

In addition to serving as an ambassador for United Way NCA, Leaders United members will receive:
- Public recognition
- Insider updates on United Way NCA’s programs
- Volunteer opportunities through signature events, such as Project Community Connect, Stuff the Bus and skills-based volunteering
- Opportunities to attend informational and networking events throughout the year
- Exclusive annual Leaders United events
With an annual donation of $1,000 or more to United Way NCA, you will be recognized for your leadership and commitment as a member of Leaders United. You will also have the opportunity to explore deepening your involvement by joining one of our Affinity Groups:

Participation in Leaders United begins with an annual donation of $1,000 or more to United Way NCA. To learn more about how to join Leaders United, please contact leadersunited@uwnca.org.
LEADERS UNITED FAQS
Your participation in Leaders United starts with your investment of $1,000 or more to United Way of the National Capital Area. When you make your gift, please indicate that you would like to be included in Leaders United. After that, we’ll take care of the rest and you’ll be eligible to participate in all Leaders United events and engagement opportunities.
You can make your gift to United Way of the National Capital Area in several ways, including:
1. Through your workplace campaign – Numerous workplaces in the National Capital Area participate in annual United Way NCA workplace campaigns. Ask your payroll department for more information and how to make a donation. This option allows you to donate from each paycheck and spread out your investment.
2. Online – Visit https://unitedwaynca.org/donate to make your gift online and indicate that you’re interested in becoming an Emerging Leader.
3. Send us your donation – Checks and pledge forms can be mailed to United Way NCA, Attn. Gabrielle Sherb, Department 0751, Washington, DC 20073-0751. For more information, please email philanthropy@uwnca.org.
