Essential Needs
For many across our region, accessing basic and essential needs is nearly impossible. This is especially true for our ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) neighbors. You can help bridge this gap by partnering with United Way of the National Capital Area to pack healthy meal and snacks kits, cold-weather kits, and hygiene kits. Every kit you prepare directly supports our region’s ALICE Community.
Stuff the Bus
A successful student is a prepared student. Every year, twice a year, United Way of the National Capital Area hosts its Stuff the Bus campaign to provide our community schools with book bags filled with grade-appropriate school supplies. This initiative ensures that students begin and end the year strong while easing the financial strain on teachers and parents.
