We offer ways to get involved by creating notecards, packing kits for those in need and assisting with our economic opportunity programs. For many in our community, especially members of the ALICE population, meeting basic needs on a low income is not possible. You can make a difference by supporting community members in need! From healthy meals and snacks to hygiene kits and cold-weather kits, United Way NCA volunteer opportunities provide basic needs and more to those who need it most. United Way NCA’s Stuff the Bus campaign provides backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies to middle school students attending our six Community Schools in DC and surrounding counties in Northern Virginia and Maryland. Project Community Connect (PCC) is a United Way NCA signature event focused on providing essential services to those at risk of or experiencing homelessness and the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population.
