United Way NCA’s 9th Annual Do More 24 Raises Over $800,000 for the Community

Jun 02, 2021

June 2, 2021 On May 19, 2021, United Way of the National Capital Area hosted its 9th Annual Do More 24, bringing together community members and nonprofit partners to educate the public on the issues that matter most to our region and to raise funds for the programs solving our community’s most pressing issues.

Thanks to 3,857 individual supporters from across the National Capital Area who gave a total of 4,633 donations, Do More 24 raised over $818,895 to support 177 organizations in our region, including United Way of the National Capital Area.

We are grateful to those who generously gave during Do More 24, and to those who continue to support our work as we improve the health, education and economic opportunity of all community members, regardless of race, gender, income and ability.

Because of the generous support from our donors, United Way NCA can continue to #DoMore4Equity, making bold strides until we achieve equity for all community members. We know that the issues of inequity in our systems for employment, education, health and food access, financial stability and opportunities for all to grow to the best of their abilities are not going to change unless we do the work.

We invite you to continue on the equity journey with us! Support our programmatic work today at unitedwaynca.org/donate and learn more about equity over the course of 21 days through our 21 Day Race Equity Journey.
