United Way NCA Hosts its 9th Annual Do More 24 on May 19
Apr 07, 2021
It’s Time to #DoMore4Equity as United Way of the National Capital Area Brings Together Individuals and Organizations Who Are Committed to Making a Difference in our Community
Washington, DC (April 7, 2021)—Save the date! On May 19, 2021, United Way of the National Capital Area will host its 9th Annual Do More 24, a social movement giving members of our community the chance to think about what they care most about, learn what others are doing in our region to solve its most pressing problems and be a part of achieving a more equitable National Capital Area.
This year’s Do More 24 is one of our most important yet. The tumultuous year of 2020 marked a global pandemic and social unrest felt throughout the country. The recent events of last year put a spotlight on the health care disparities and racial inequalities in our region, and we know the issues of inequity in our systems for employment, education, health and food access, economic opportunity and fair chances for all to grow to the best of their abilities are not going to change unless we do the work.
Through Do More 24, community members can join us in our efforts and #DoMore4Equity by graciously giving and promoting peer-to-peer fundraising. When you invite your friends and colleagues to join the fight, you expand Do More 24’s reach—a win-win for you and the community you care about.
When you give to United Way NCA through Do More 24, you are supporting our programmatic work as we stand for equity in health, education and economic opportunity, providing community members with the resources they need for success. As we look ahead beyond the pandemic and the economic impact, United Way NCA is thinking critically about equitable solutions for the region it serves, focusing on ensuring everyone in our community can see themselves as part of the long-term solution.
We invite you to become a part of the resolution! Find out more about this year’s event and how you can support Do More 24 by visiting unitedwaynca.org/what-we-do/our-programs/do-more-24/.
