How to Help Those Affected by Hurricane Ida

Support United Ways across the Southeast to provide critical resources to community members affected by the area’s most recent natural disaster.
Aug. 31, 2021 – In the wake of an ongoing pandemic, another disaster is impacting Americans across the Southeast: Hurricane Ida. Making landfall this past weekend on Aug. 29, Hurricane Ida destroyed many communities in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and surrounding regions. Families, friends and neighbors are now facing weeks without power, water, needed supplies, resources and support.
You can make a difference today to help those who need it most. Local United Ways across the network are coming together to help our sister United Ways in the Southeast. They are doing the boots-on-the-ground work, supporting their communities during this difficult time. You can help by donating using the links to the United Way organizations below and by spreading the word about the funds featured here. Financial support is what is needed urgently at this time, so that United Ways can organize on the ground and gather resources. We are grateful for your support.
