by United Way NCA

To support families in Flint, Michigan, United Way NCA has contributed to the United Way of Genese County’s (Michigan) Flint Water Fund. All funds will be used for the purchase of filters, bottled water, emergency support services and prevention efforts to assist families during this health crisis.

United Way of Genese County has provided more than 11,000 filter systems and 5,000 replacement filters, as well as bottled water to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. It is also supporting a dedicated driver for daily distribution. All contributions to the Flint Water Fund will go towards these efforts.

The Fund has gotten support from people around the country, including Pearl Jam, which has pledged $300,000 towards the effort. United Ways across the country, donors, nonprofits and businesses everywhere are coming together to support the Flint community.

We are one nation; one community. We want every adult and child to live in a safe, clean and healthy  community.
